| Project Description: |
| This project is made up of two programs: the Medication Adherence Program and the Health Literacy Program.
The Medication Adherence Program is designed to make sure that patients with HIV/AIDS understand their disease and the reasons why certain medications have been prescribed. These paatients will be monitored throughout 12 months to make sure that they are taking their medications properly.
The Health Literacy Program is to educate people on the language of written health care. In some instances people will be referred to a literacy program in the community if it is discovered that their reading levels are below those needed to understand the articles used in the program. |
