| In 1999 Santa Rosa COunty donated 130 acres of land to the State on the easternportion of Navarre Beach at a value of approximatley 40 million (thorugh a 99 year lease agreement) with th eunderstanding that the State would develop it as a state park through tthe use of legislatively appropriated funds The Navarre Beach State Recreation Area Unit Management Plan outlines the individual projects that were to be complete within the park, and it was created through a planning process that involved extensive local public participation. | |||||||||
