| Project Description: |
| The Village is seeking to provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for approximately 250 adolescent girls who are arrested, referred and/or admitted to a special unit, separate from the general population, at the Miami-Dade County Juvenile Detention Center. Services will include a comprehensive assessment for all girls referred to the special unit; a treatment plan for all girls admitted to the special unit following assessment; and aftercare and case management for all girls who are not transferred to another detention program. |

| 100% of girls will receive substance abuse and mental health assessments; 100% of girls will receive counseling; 85% of girls will return to school within two weeks of incarceration; six months post incarceration, 80% of girls will be in school or vocational program; and the recidivism rate will be less than 10%. |
