| The Greenwood Center is a model clinic designed to assist low-income residents in the Greenwood area of Clearwater in obtaining adequate health screening care and educati0on. The center was built on a city brownfield and the building was funded by state and local funding. Subsequent funding is used to support the operation of the center. The center is part of the Community Health Protection Act, F.S. 381.1001 which was devised to assist the Dept. of Health reach medically underserved populations that are overburdened by pollution and disease. The other components of the act reach into additional commmunities throughout the state and also include a statewide advisory board. | |||||||||
