Project Description:
This program is in six high schools in Duval County. This program is to educate 11th and 12th grade students about breast cancer, encourage monthly breast examinations, and teach young women to be responsible for their own breast health.Through educational workshops students will receive accurate facts explaining breast cancer risk factors, earley detection methods, including clinical examines and monthly breast self-exams; treatment options; and support information for breast cancer survivers and their family.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The objective of the program are: 1)To increase the number of teen women in Duval County planning to conduct monthly breast self-exams starting at age 20 as measured by pre and post test surveys; 2) To increase knowledge of breast cancer risk factors and early detection methods among teen women in Duval County as measured by pre and post test surveys; and 3) To increase early detection and treatment of breast cancer. 4)To use as a state model.
