| To enhance current services by adding reading literacy, social skills, and physical fitness curriculum with measurable outcomes for youth in Miami-Dade County. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| The YMCA of Greater Miami currently serves more than 6,000 children at 58 after-school sites throughout Miami-Dade County; provided programs for more than 3,330 school age children during school closures (summer, holidays, and teacher workdayss) at 25 different locations for 130 days in 2004, provided over 4,000 youth and adults with water safety classes and swimming lessons in 2004, and operated 8 branches and more than 130 off-branch sites throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, from the Upper Keys to North Dade. These services were provided to everyone, regardless of financial, racial, religious, ethnic, social or cultural status. These funds will allow the YMCA of Greater Miami to enhance our current services and reach an even greater number of youth and adults. |
