Project Description: |
The Morton Plant Hospita Community Education Center will be a regional center filling the gaps in resoures, space, technology and expertis4e to provide the community with the best possible health care. The project will allow construction for a new 120,000 sq. foot facility including a 250-300 person auditorium, conference and class room space, and provide for the education for our state's future nurses and physicians while also providing much needed community education, screening and educational follow up services. This project supports our National MAGNET desination as a nursing center. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
The Morton Plant Hospital Community Education Center will increase: the number of nursing instructors available througgh partnership with state universities and colleges, increase by 48 LPN and RN nurses per year in the community, community courses available for families, physsician education to increase access for the overall community, as well as increase access to all health care continuum systems for the medically underprivileged in our community. |
