The project will protect the health and life safety protection of not only those living in the Okeechobee area, but also for the many winter visitors and special protection for the main cross-state evacuation routes. The project will also provide for an adequate supply for the proposed SFWMD STA. |

Construct new stormwater conveyance and pumping system in the south sector of the County and City areas to drawdown stormwater into a planned stormwater treatment area South Florida Water Management District will construct. Add appropriate conveyance structures and pump station(s). |
