Project Description: |
Youth Co-Op's Refugee Youth Transportation Program funds a crucial need for the safe and reliable transport of refugee students eager to participate in an intensive tutoring and counseling program. The main purpose is to fill a critical gap that links recently arrived youth and their families to the educational system in order to prevent the student from dropping out of school. The program aims to assist refugee youth to become successful members of society in the United States and give back to their community through strong counseling components, individualized instruction, parental involvement, and extra-curricular activities. Through the comprehensive array of services offered, this research-based program creates an environment that is fun to attend and conducive to the growth and development of the student, inside and outside of the classroom.
