Provides efficient and effective utilization of resources for the establishment of a local/regional joint-use facility between the county government and the community college for the purpose of providing emergency operations and services to the public during natural disasters and supporting public safety training programs during all other times. Promotes seamless law enforcement/emergency services and communications with rest of state during natural disasters and the integration of real-world training opportunities with practical applications. This project also includes the concurrent relocation/co-location of the college's public radio station facilities.

Construction of a new Joint-Use Emergency Operations Center/Public Safety Building.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Current county EOC facility is located in a flood plain due to proximity to St. Andrews Bay and Gulf of Mexico. College public safety programs are currently over capacity for existing facilities and under built for current programs under the State Requirements for Educational Facilities. Construction of a new facility at the college's North Bay campus will provide for seamless and effective emergency services and communications with the public during times of natural disaster while allowing for integrated and effective training and public communications opportunities during all other times.
