Project Description: |
Construction of a new Joint-Use Emergency Operations Center/Public Safety Building. |
|
Is this a project related to 2004 hurricane damage? |
No |
|
Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
Current county EOC facility is located in a flood plain due to proximity to St. Andrews Bay and Gulf of Mexico. College public safety programs are currently over capacity for existing facilities and under built for current programs under the State Requirements for Educational Facilities. Construction of a new facility at the college's North Bay campus will provide for seamless and effective emergency services and communications with the public during times of natural disaster while allowing for integrated and effective training and public communications opportunities during all other times. |
