Project Description: |
Relying on satellite telemetry to transmit live exploration and research, JASON brings researchers and science from around the world directly to students in an interactive setting. State funding allows Mote to provide this learning experience to students from 10 surrounding counties at no cost to the local school district. Participating teachers receive year long multidisciplinary curriculum based on real world applications and aligned with the National and State Education standards. Teacher professional development workshops and a Summer Institute are provided, as well as student and teacher online access to scientists and in-depth science information on the project website |
