| Remediation of contamination at the Cascade Park Manufactured Gas Plant and Cascade Landfill. This property is the site of a former coal gasification plant and has been the subject of a federal Administrative Order on Consent(AOC) through the US Environmental Protection Agency(EPA). The property is located adjacent to the Capitol complex, within Southern Strategies Boudaries. Not only is it currently unusable for citizens and visitors to this community, but it also is a significant impediment to economic development in the area.
