This project will protect the environment by removing 1.5 million gallons per day of secondary treated domestic wastewater treatment plant effluents from a 303d listed impaired water body. This wastewater discharge will be reclaimed and used for beneficial reuse purposes as public access irrigation water in the Clay County Utility Authority's reclaimed water distribution system thereby reducing demand on the Floridan Aquifer and intermediate aquifer groundwater resources.

Project Description:
Convert Heritage Hills lift station to a master re-pump state. Construct a pipeline from the Heritage Hills station to the Spencer's Crossing Wastewater Treatment Facility that is approximately 21,000 linear feet of 20" pipe. Expand the Spencer's Wastewater Treatment Facility to treat the additional 1.5 million gallons per day of wastewater for use in the reclaimed system.

By removing 1.5 million gallons per day of flow from the river, approximately 20,560 lbs of nitrogen and 14,620 lbs of phosphorous will be removed per year.
