The Jewish Community Center of the Greater Palm Beaches is a human service agency committed to enhancing the quality of family life and promoting the physical, intellectual and spirtual wellness of the individual. It is an agency that delivers services to the community at large including, and especially, populations at risk. Through a wide variety of programs, the Center pursues its mission of strengthening the individual, the family and the community. To carry out our mission, the Jewish Community Center identifies communal priorities and provides vital services to members of the community and especially to populations at risk. We provide a wide array of services such as hot daily meals followed by socialization and activities for our frail elderly, special programs for mentally and physically challenged children and adults, preschool and infant daycare, after-school programming and camp. The Hurricane Disaster Relief project will enable our agency to operate at peak capacity to ensure that the necessary services are provided in order to meet the needs of these populations |

Project Description: |
The Jewish Community Center of the Greater Palm Beaches, Inc. Hurricane Disaster Relief Project is seeking financial reimbursement for operating related lost revenues as a result of the two hurricanes that devastated Florida last year. Clearly, this project is necessary in order for our agency to be able to operate at its full potential by ensuring that our programs are fully restored in order to continue to provide for our most basic human needs. Without these resources, we would be forced to divert funds from another potential source of revenue thereby putting at risk our high-quality service provison that we continually strive for. |
