Project Description:
St. Lucie County was allocated $18,665,978 by the Florida Division of Emergency Management for the Hazard Mitigation Program Grants (HMPG). However, the grants require a 25% local match. Due to extensive hurricane damage incurred by St. Lucie County, which from a financial standpoint is greater than any other county, St. Lucie County cannot afford to pay the 25% match and is in need of the State's assistance.
