| Project Description: |
| The purpose of this project is to install reclaimed water service lines and meter boxes at residences in th City which have th ereclaimed water mains available to their properties, but are not connected. The following figure shows those parcels with reclaimed water available, and whether or not connected. At present, the City has approximately 1,350 residential reclaimed water customers, who utilize this alternative supply rather than the potable water resource for irrigation purposes. By installing the proposed service lines and meter boxes, the number o residences connected to the reclaimed water system could be doubled. This would result in an estimated 400-500,000 gallons per day of reclaimed water being reused and an approximately equal quantity of potable water being conserved. |
