| There are over 80 public safety agencies in Escambia County. During last summer's hurricane season and the catastrophic impact by the direct landfall of Hurricane Ivan, the need for an improved communication between various agencies for the benefit of public safety became evident. |

| This project request is for funding for complete wireless computer system to include web access in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at the new Public Safety Building. This will allow better access for all EOC support agencies to their "primary" computer systems and networks. |
