| Project Description: |
| The USF Alzheimer's Outpatient Service & Training Center will provide training, assessment, treatment, and specialized care in conjunction with research and its application. It will work in conjunction with the University of South Florida's new Johnnie B. Byrd, Sr., Alzheimer's Center & Research Institute. It will be co-located with the Hillsborough County School District's new health and human services career center, where students will be trained in the specialized field of Alzheimer's and dementia-related care. |

| To improve the quality of life for thousands of senior citizens inflicted with Alzheimer's and dementia-related afflictions and diseases, and to aid in the collection of data and research for a cure to these dibilitating diseases. In addition, the USF Alzheimer's Outpatient Service & Training Center will train Florida's future workforce who will provide care for these Alzheimer's patients. |
