Project Description:
The City will provide additional stormwater volume along with modifications to conveyance systems to reduce flows and pollutant loadings to the Half-Mile Creek outfall that flows into Silver River/Silver Springs-designated as Outstanding Florida Waters (OFW).

There are four existing drainage retention areas located within the City's portion of this project. Two are undersized, and not providing current water quality treatment as required by SJRWMD and two are "off line" drainage retention areas not providing any treatment for the "first flush". This project will provide, at a minimum, water quality treatment volume for all four drainage retention areas, thus providing loading reductions meeting or exceeding the requirements of the SJRWMD prior to discharge into Outstanding Florida Waters.
