The statewide interest addresses and supports the prevention of this deadly disease with a focus on inner city population of minorities and the rural population of migrant workers. Prevention is the best stategy , which benefits the state morally and financially in the way of cost saving prolonged medical care.

Project Description:
This project will operate as a conduit between inner city and rural minority communities at highest risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. This initiative will penetrate populations of people that local government has been ineffective at reaching. Upon accessing those at greatest risks, we will then provide an array of services including: HIV/AIDS prevention education, STD prevention education and medical referrals. Family and individual counseling will be provided.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
100 individuals or units of family/guardians will recieve HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and referral services based on specific needs identified throughout the term of fiscal year 05/06. 100% of the participants will rate the services via customer service satisfaction survey in an effort to improve services and identify gaps in service throughout the continuum.
