| Project Description: |
| The Health Education and Outreach Program provides a comprehensive community-based strategy to address HIV/AIDS and substance abuse-the twin epidemics of that continue to be pervasive threat to public health. In keeping with the holistic approach for addressing the needs of the clients in the Center and surrouding community, the program has implemented a culturally appropriate health education and outreach program for high-risk persons. The specific priority is serving south St. Petersburg. The goals of the program will be to reduce the risk of becoming infected and transmitting the human immune deficiency virus (HIV), TB, Hepatitis and STDs. |
