Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
As demonstrated by our successful completion numbers and the 0% recidivism rate for successful graduates, we have provided our community the missing ingredient to stop the "revolving door" for repeat prostitution offenders. Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association (which has been impacted the most by prostitution in Hillsborough County)and the Prostitution Task Force report they have seen a dramatic decrease in prostitution activities and related crimes over the past two years working with the PRIDE and JADE programs. Economic benefits to Hillsborough County include jail population, decreases expense to the County Healthcare system with declning treatment cost for STD's, decreased costs to the judicial sytem and law enforcement as related crimes such as drug use and sales, theft, assault, rape, trespassing, and vandalism decrease. Increased neighborhood safety and increased property values which increase the tax base for our community. For many of the clients this is the first time that they have held legal, stable employment. The majority of female clients have children which are in custody of the State. Through gainful employment they are able to regain custody thereby reducing the cost of State care. |
