Project Description:
The Information Technology Career Training program seeks to develop highly employable workforce through a challenging curriculum leading to a career in information technology. Two short-term certificates are available. An 18 credit hour certificate in IT Support and 27 credit hour in IT Analysis. Students are prepared for careers as network technicians, web designers, programmers, software support. The program provides curriculum scheduling, tutoring; mentoring, and continues to work at building relationships with local business employers. To level the playing field, laptops with internet capabilites are provided to students in the program.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Technology is used to enhance the student's knowledge of computer hardware and software, in bridging the digital gap, through a challenging curriculum, the mearsureable outcomes will include, increased computer literacy and proficiency, improved academic skills, increased technical skills with hands-on training, increase partnerships with local business and sharing of resources and increased student placement in the industry.
