Tsala-Apopka Chain of Lakes are Outstanding Florida waterways and are of historic, hydrologic, ecologic and economic significance to the state of Florida. These waterways are plagued by sedimentation, excessive growth of aquatic plants, degraded water quality and degraded recreational value.

Project Description:
Acquistion of upland spoil sites to deposit removed tussock material. Strategically located parcels need to be purchased or leased due to the lack of sites that causes severe limitation on tussock removal projects. Any funds not used for acquisition of disposal areas would be used for tussock removal and disposal
