Tsala-Apopka Chain of Lakes are Outstanding Florida waterways and are of historic, hydrologic, ecologic and economic significance to the state of Florida. These waterways are plagued by sedimentation, excessive growth of aquatic plants, degraded water quality and degraded recreational value.

Project Description:
This project would involve design, hydraulic analysis and permitting to investigate the potential for removal of the north-south berm at Flying Eagle or to install a water management structure to control water flow between the lake and the Withlacoochee River.
