Phase II improvements to designed 360,000 GPD WWTP, force main and gravity sewer collection system in Wauchula Hills; Phase II including connecting new K-8 school and 3 RV parks on way to WWTP and plant capacity increase. FDEP designated area of high nitrates. |

Constructing new processing plants and with local sewer hook-ups by residents and businesses will eliminate the ground pollutants caused by failing septic tanks and old/outdated failing package plants. Through new treatment technology, disposal of effluent through new FDEP approved wetlands disposal system. 75 lbs per day removal of suspended solids. 3.0 tons per year of phosphorus will be removed when system is completed. Nitrogen will also be removed but it can not be calculated nor quantified at this time. |
