| Homeownership Education Program is designated to help first time homebuyers prepare for and be adequately informed about the process of buying. The purchase of the home is the largest financial transaction that most people will make in a lifetime. Additionally, purchasing a home serves as one of the best ways to build equity for the future. Allowing families to own a piece of the American dream and be active members of their communities. Through this program, seminars are held weekly on topics such as evaluating your credit, selecting and working with housing profesionals, and obtaining a mortgage, among others. Families that participate in the program take part in counseling to prepare them for purchase. |
