Project Description:
Funding to be used to create parcel level, digitized data for Calhoun and Madison Counties and all municipal governments within these counties. The IOG will first inventory and catalog all available data from federal, state, regional, and local sources, noting format and ease of sharing. The IOG will then compile all relevant data to more accurately determine the gaps in data for the counties and cities. The IOG will meet with elected officials and staff in the affected local governments to determine unique and specific data needs. Once the gaps have been identified, the Institute will begin work in the pilot areas, collecting the missing data. All of the data gathered by the Institute will be compiled into one regional database, which will be hosted by the Institute and made available to the two pilot counties and the cities within, as well as relevant federal, state or regional agencies, via the Internet or other appropriate means.
