Statewide Interest: |
The intent of this project is to develop a statewide Department of Juvenile Justice supervision program that utilizes electronic monitoring technologies to assist in the community supervision of youths sentenced to Home Detention as a condition of probation, youths awaiting placement in one of the Department's residential facilities, and youths adjudicated of a sexual offense who have been released from residential treatment. The use of this technology and service has demonstrated a unique ability to both increase participant compliance with community-based sanctions, and to increase the emphasis on public safety issues as they relate to the community supervision of both pre and post adjudicated youth within the State of Florida. |
