| This project will enhance evacuation routes in and out of the Central Florida Region. The two extra lanes will provide additional capacities necessary to relieve traffic congestion as well as provide interconnection to the two Florida Interstate Highway systems. This project will encourage, enhance, and create economic benefits in terms of movement of goods and services on CR 470. This improvement is recommended in the Lake County 2020 Long Range Transportation Needs Plan, which was adopted by the Lake County Board of County Commissioners on June 15, 1999. |

| Project Description: |
| This improvement consists of adding two additional lanes to CR 470 with overpass from SR 91 to US 27. The two extra lanes will provide additional capacities necessary to relieve traffic congestion as well as provide interconnection to the two Florida Interstate Highway systems, and will provide an alternate travel route that will include public transportation, ITS technology, and will also enhance evacuation routes in and out of the Central Florida Region. |
