Project Description:
Pilot project to create gap funding for housing and the full array of behavioral health services for individuals with mental illnesses when they are released from jail and are awaiting benefits. Requested funds would revolve and be replaced when individuals receive entitlements, e.g. social security, Medicaid, etc.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Due to the revolving nature of the fund, it is anticipated that 140 individuals annually will be provided with housing and the full array of behavioral health services for six months or until they receive their benefits. This will reduce recidivism to jail and improve rehabilitation outcomes.
