Project Description:
Construct a stormwater pond and other drainage improvements to divert stormwater runoff and treat the water before it is discharged into a natural estuary and Outstanding Florida Water (OFW) - Rose Bay. The hurricanes of 2004 produced a large amount of rainwater and as a result over 200 homes in Port Orange were flooded. The vast majority of those homes are in the Cambridge Basin.

This project will have a major impact on achieving reduction TMDL goals for the Halifax River established by the FDEP by limiting and eliminating the loading of suspended solids, nitrogen, phorsphorus and toher contaminants into the river.
