Project Description:
Renovation of Chamber building to provide handicapped accessibility to meeting rooms, offices, and public restrooms to create a more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and business people with physical disabilities.

Is this a project related to 2004 hurricane damage? No

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The Chamber is currently scheduled to undergo improvements from hurricane damage with funding from insurance. By combining the accessibility upgrade with the facility renovation, we hope to leverage our construction dollars to be more cost efficient. Additionally, it would reduce down time for the Chamber operations and allow us to be more efficient in serving the constituents of Brevard County. We would anticipate at the completion of this project, the Chamber offices would be completely accessible to anyone with physical limitations, including wider hallways and doorways to offices and meeting space, level floors, removal of current steps in lobby and meeting room, and a completely handicap accessible public restroom.
