Project Description: |
Community Housing and Enterprise Strategy (CHES) is a project designed by Community Reconstruction Housing, Inc. (CRH) to develop the capacity of both non and for-profit entities to provide affordable housing and establish thriving enterprises in the City of West Park. CRH will organize and implement training, technical assistance and public private partnerships that would allow individuals and agencies to acquire the skills and resources needed to develop housing and businesses, thereby creating wealth that residents can use to meet their quality of life needs and prvent the kinds of poverty problems associated with very low and low-income communities. West Park is over 80% Black, most of whom are in the low-income bracket. Ownership of homes and businesses is teh surest way to help people in this bracket incease their net worth, maintain a decent quality of life and contribute to the local revenue base. |
