Project Description: |
A number of street valley gutters have been identified as becomiing inundated during storm periods, causing street flooding and untreated discharge into the waters of the NCB. Project improvements are designed to alleviate street flooding and improve water quality. This ongoing project will protect and enhance the Pellicer and Halifax basins and will mitigate the adverse effects of cumulative storm water on coastal water resources. |
|
Is this a project related to 2004 hurricane damage? |
No |
|
Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
Improved water quality; less total suspended solids, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus, and improve drainage and prevent flooding. |

Yes |
|
Name of water body: |
Northern Coastal Basin (NCB) |
|
Describe how it will reduce loadings, identify anticipated load reductions for total suspended solids, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and other contaminants, and specify the practices that will be used to reduce loadings: |
A number of street valley gutters have been identified as becoming inundated during storm periods, causing street flooding and untreated discharge into the waters of the NCB. Project improvements will alleviate street flooding and improve water quality by allowing sufficient attenuation and treatment time. This ongoing project will protect and enhance the Pellicer and Halifax basins and will mitigate the adverse effects of cumulative storm water on coastal water resources. |
