| Project Description: |
| LHANC is requesting $350,000 for the provision of home delivered meals to frail, low-income, nutritionally at-risk home bound elderly from throughout Miami-Dade County. The persons to be served will be removed from LHANC's current waiting list for services which at present exceeds the 1,100 person mark. With this request, LHANC will be able to remove approximately 200 persons from its waiting list of services and provide them with a hot nutritionally balanced meal for the period of 1 year. |

| As with other home delivered meals programs funded through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, LHANC anticipates that at least 60% of the frail, elderly homebound persons in this program will maintain or improve their nutrition status. |
