Project Description: |
Audubon Center for Birds of Prey will rescue, treat and rehabilitate injured raptors (birds of Prey) including Bald Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Kites and similar listed and non listed species received from throughout the state of Florida. Approximately 650-700 birds will be admitted and treated at the Center. Due to the recent hurricanes affecting various parts of the state, increased numbers of raptors, especially Bald Eagles will be admitted to the Center this year. Admissions may be related to displacement of territories and nesting areas due to loss of trees and suitable habitat. |
