Forest Capital Hall has been a very popular county landmark since 1967 and has housed the County Extension offices since 1996. The auditorium was once very heavily used for both City of Perry events and county events but it is currently used sparingly due to roof leaks and no adequate heating or cooling. There are no other community facilities in Taylor county which has the capacity to accomodate 200+ people in one room other than Forest Capital Hall.
