Project Description:
The Volunteer Way Food Bank distributed 4,000,000 pounds of food in 2004 to its network of food banks and pantries throughout Florida. These funds will allow the Volunteer Way to bring additional food to the 80 members of the food bank network throughout Florida. The Volunteer Way's mission is to have food available to all food banks and pantries free of any financial cost. The Volunteer Way's goal is to make sure all nutritionally challenged people of Florida have an opportunity to receive help.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The Volunteer Way will be able to bring into Florida an additonal 2,500,000 pounds of food to support its network of 80 partners in the fight against hunger. Two additional food banks and 40 more pantries are anticpated to open within the first two years of this project.
