Project Description: |
Operation PAR is proposing to continue operations of the PAR Adolescent Intervention Center in Pasco County. The PAIC utilizes an effective family intervention model that intervenes early with youth involved in the juvenile justice system to avoid deeper penetration into the system and costly placements in commitment programs. Funding will be used to improve family involvement, provide in-home therapy as needed, provide a full continuum of outpatient services, on-site detention screening, drug screens, Juvenile TASC assessments and provide mental health services for juveniles diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. Operation PAR will continue to utilize the Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy/ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MET/CBT) and its Family Support Network (FSN) as the proposed model based on its effectiveness when placed during a nationally funded research study. FSN services will include in-home family sessions (4) parenting education (6 sessions), agressive case management and follow-up. |
