| This bridge serves as one of 4 east west evacuation routes for the east half of Marion Co. and much of east Florida. As the east half of Marion Co. is the Ocala Natl. Florest, there are very few alternate routes available. This bridge is the immediate alternate for SR 40, but it cannot support SR 40's traffic. Failure to keep movement during an evacuation along these routes can be catastrophic. |
