| Project Description: |
| The proposed legislation will establish an enclosure that will enable the Crime Scene Investigations Bureau (CSIB) to have a working Photographic Studio to process evidence. It will provide appropriate space to the Forensic Artists, who need a private working area to interview victims in the sensitive area of sexual batteries, child exploitation, etc. when doing their composite sketches. In addition, this enclosure will allow for a self-contained biohazard room to be used to secure and store evidence in the Fingerprint Indentification Section. |

Specifically, it will allow services to victims of crimes such as sexual battery and child exploitation to be served in a private space with great respect and care and with regard to improve ability to secure critical information. Also, it will provide a self-contained biohazard room to secure and store evidence in the Fingerprint Identification Section. Both of these enhancements will directly relate to investigations and prosecutions that will have positive results for law enforcement, criminal justice partners and the community locally, statewide, and nationally |
