HB 1-D — Establishing the Congressional Districts of the State

HB 1-D (Chapter 2026-60, L.O.F.) apportions the state into 28 congressional districts as prescribed in plan EOGPCRP2026.

 

The bill reenacts several sections of law to establish the districts described in the bill as the official congressional districts of the state, to designate electronic maps as the authoritative representation of the state′s Congressional districts, and to establish the Office of Economic and Demographic Research as the official custodian of electronic maps representing the Congressional districts described in the bill.

 

The districts described in the bill shall apply to the qualification, nomination, and election of congressional representatives in the primary and general elections of 2026 and thereafter.

 

These provisions became law upon approval by the Governor on May 4, 2026, except where otherwise provided.
