1997 Florida Statutes

287.032  Purpose of 1division.--It shall be the purpose of the 1Division of Purchasing:

(1)  To promote efficiency, economy, and the conservation of energy and to effect coordination in the purchase of commodities for the state.

(2)  To provide uniform contractual service procurement policies, rules, procedures, and forms for use by the various agencies in procuring contractual services.

(3)  To procure and distribute state-owned surplus tangible personal property and federal surplus tangible personal property allocated to the state by the Federal Government.

1Note.--Deleted in the reorganization of the Department of Management Services by s. 3, ch. 97-296. Section 4, ch. 97-296, requires the Division of Statutory Revision to prepare a reviser's bill for submission to the 1998 Regular Session of the Legislature substituting references to the Department of Management Services in the Florida Statutes for references to divisions, bureaus, or other units of that department.
