On Page: 024             From funds appropriated for Alternative Schools/Public
                         Private Partnership Incentives, requires the Department
Spec App:   86           of Education to conduct a pilot project to improve
                         employability skills, job readiness and academic
                         achievement of delinquent youth.

        Insert the following new paragraph of proviso 
        following Specific Appropriation 86 on pages 24:

From the funds appropriated in Specific Appropriation 86, a
pilot project shall be created to promote the effectiveness and
accountability of educational services for delinquent youth with
measurable performance-based outcomes. The intent of this pilot project
will be to improve employability skills, job readiness, and to
accelerate academic remediation and achievement for this
difficult-to-serve population.

Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
