HB 601: Judgments & Liens

GENERAL BILL by Pickens ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Byrd

Judgments & Liens; provides for electronic filing of liens, assessments, warrants, & judgments directly into database; provides that filing of judgment lien certificate does not extend life of judgment, order, decree, or warrant; clarifies effect of judgment liens upon buyers who buy without notice as defined in certain provision; provides that certain debts re negotiable instruments are not subject to garnishment, etc. Amends Chs. 55, 56, 77, 678.1051, 713.901.
