GENERAL BILL by Health, Aging and Long-Term Care ; Peaden
Surgical First Assistants; revises required component of internal risk management programs to include requirements for use of surgical first assistants; requires health insurance policies to provide coverage for medically necessary services of surgical first assistant selected by primary surgeon to assist in covered surgical procedure; provides applicability to new or renewed policies & contracts, etc. Amends Chs. 395, 627, 641.
