Adult Day Care Centers; Prohibits adult day care center from claiming to be licensed or designated as specialized Alzheimer's services adult day care center under certain circumstances; provides for licensure designation of adult day care centers that provide specialized Alzheimer's services by AHCA; requires adult day care center seeking designation to meet specified criteria; provides educational & experience requirements for operator of adult day care center seeking designation; provides criteria for staff training & supervision; requires DEA to approve staff training; requires that employee be issued certificate upon completion of staff training; provides requirements for staff orientation; provides requirements for admission into such adult day care center; requires participant file; requires that participant's plan of care be reviewed quarterly; requires participant, or caregiver, to provide adult day care center with updated medical documentation; requires adult day care center to give each person who enrolls as participant, or caregiver, copy of participant's plan of care & safety information; requires that adult day care center coordinate & execute discharge procedures with participant who has documented diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or dementia-related disorder & caregiver if participant's enrollment in center is involuntarily terminated; provides that act does not prohibit licensed adult day care center that does not receive such designation from providing adult day care services to persons who have Alzheimer's disease or other dementia-related disorders; authorizes DEA to adopt rules.
