GENERAL BILL by Health and Human Services Quality Subcommittee ; Wood

Health Care Coverage Mandates; Deletes provisions providing health insurance policies, health care services plans, or other contracts be construed to require payment to podiatrists & chiropractors for services within their scope of practice; repeals provisions relating to required coverage for bone marrow transplant procedures; repeals provisions relating to payment of acupuncture benefits to certified acupuncturists; deletes requirement that health insurance policies covering massage must also cover services of person licensed to practice massage; deletes provisions relating to mandated eligibility for participation in provider networks by therapists, counselors, psychologists, or certain psychiatric nurses; repeals provisions relating to required coverage for home health care services; repeals provisions relating to requirements that optional coverage for mental & nervous disorders be made available; repeals provisions relating to required coverage for individuals with autism spectrum disorder; repeals provisions relating to required coverage for cleft lip & cleft palate treatment under certain circumstance; deletes provisions relating to payment for treatment at osteopathic hospital, required coverage for cleft lip & cleft palate treatment, & payment for services provided by massage therapist.
