CS/HB 301: Alcoholic Beverages

GENERAL BILL by Regulatory Affairs Committee ; Sprowls ; Young ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Burgess ; Cruz ; Dudley ; Mayfield ; Perry ; Renner

Alcoholic Beverages; Prohibits electronic benefits transfer cards from being used or accepted to purchase alcoholic beverage; provides requirements for licensed manufacturers of malt beverages to sell such beverages directly to consumers; provides requirements for vendor's licenses for licensed manufacturers; revises requirements for promotional displays & advertising; revises restrictions on vehicle required for use by vendor who transports alcoholic beverages; defines & provides requirements for growlers; authorizes licensed manufacturer, distributor, or importer of malt beverages, or contracted third-party agent thereof, to conduct malt beverage tasting; requires DOT to install certain directional signs at specified locations upon request of licensed craft brewery/distillery; revises limitation on number of containers that may be sold to consumers by craft distilleries; prohibits craft distillery from shipping or arranging to ship its distilled spirits to consumers; limits sale & delivery of distilled spirits; revises restriction on certain craft distillery ownership.
